Q: ‘What was your reason for choosing the profession you are in today?’

A: Previous injuries of my own inconsistent and uneducated knowledge of training motivates me to help and guide others towards changing their lives by getting fitter and healthy.

Q: ‘What excites you most everyday about your job now’?

A: I find helping a client to move better or increasing their strength and fitness is an exciting part of being a personal trainer.

Michael is an ITEC qualified in gym instructor, Level 4 personal trainer with REPS Ireland with a degree in Sports Management and Coaching obtained from the Institute of Technology Blanchardstown.

With a background in Gaelic Football and Soccer, Michael has played as a Goalkeeper at both inter county Gaelic football with Wicklow as well as playing soccer in the Leinster Senior League with both Arklow Town FC and Hartstown Huntstown FC.

Michael’s interest in personal training stems from his desire to enable those on their individual fitness journeys and this is also reflected in his role as Strength & Conditioning coach with St.Patrick’s Athletic Football Club where he oversees the development of the u17 and u19 teams who both play in the League of Ireland.

Michael aims to complete the Functional Movement Specialist Level 1&2 exams as well as the NSCA Certified Strength & Conditioning Specialist exams in the future.
