The training you get when to become a chartered physiotherapist interested me, during the degree you study a range of topics and have to do more than 1,000 hours of hospital-based training.

Meeting people and seeing how I can help them feel better.
Nicholas works from Gravity Fitness gym through his own Physio practice, HQphysio. He is a member of the Irish Society of Chartered Physiotherapists and the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy UK. He has been working as a physiotherapist since 2006. During this time Nicholas has worked in the areas of Musculoskeletal, Sports and Paediatric Physiotherapy.
Nicholas graduated from St. George’s University of London in 2006 with an honours degree in Physiotherapy. Following graduation, he began working as a physiotherapist in the area of Early Services for children with physical and intellectual disability. Also in 2006 he began working in private practice and with Tullamore Rugby Club where he remained for four seasons.
In 2007 Nicholas completed a Certificate in Orthopaedic Manual Therapy at Curtin University of Western Australia and in 2011 he completed a Master’s Degree in Sports Physiotherapy at The University of Queensland, Brisbane. Nicholas undertook an internship with The Brisbane Lions and The UQ Red Lions while working on clinical placement, at The UQ Musculoskeletal and Sports Injury Physiotherapy Clinic, as part of his Master’s Degree.
Since 2005 Nicholas has been working in sports and has worked at the Charlton Athletic Academy, the 2007 Western Australia Ironman and with the Leinster Rugby U19s and Ireland U20’s Head Physiotherapist since 2016. In addition, he has worked in other sports such as Golf, Hurling, Camogie, Gaelic Football, Cycling, Cricket, MMA and Motorsports.
An enthusiastic sports person Nicholas played soccer at underage level for Cork City, Dublin City and various clubs in the UK. He has won Senior, Intermediate and Junior hurling championships and has hurled for the London Seniors and Offaly Intermediates. He has also played rugby at club and university level.
